Camille Rose Garcia’s oeuvre hovers between Disney cartoon and glitter-coated gothic. Her critics describe her as ‘lowbrow’ and unskilled, her fans applaud her popular culture references and social commentary. Tragic Kingdom is the hardcover catalogue of her midcareer retrospective and is filled with prints of her colourfully psychedelic paintings and her fine line drawings on vellum inserts.
