Austrian born poet Rudi Krausmann arrived in Australia in 1958. In 1975 he founded Aspect: Art and Literature, which aimed to interrelate literature and the visual arts. His poetry is mainly preoccupied with displacement and exile and his volumes have often been published by private presses and in collaboration with artists such as Whitely and Shead. News is his eighth volume of poetry and consists of a large number of short poems about Australian and European writers and artists.
