London : Sampson Low, Marston, Low, & Searle, 1875. Title page missing. Octavo, recased in blue boards, pp [vii] [351]; 3 pages of Statistics; 40 pp advertisements; 3 maps (4th map missing); 8 plates incl frontis.

In very good condition except for missing title page and fourth map. Last two pages of advertisments degraded along outer edges, no text affected; a few annotations in pencil in the margins. Bookplate pasted onto front ep paste-down reads Ex Libris Forward Athol Mardon Douglas. Douglas was a mid-twentieth century zoologist at the Western Australia Museum.

Forrest recounts three expeditions: 1. In Search of Leichardt; 2. From Perth to Adelaide , Round the Great Bight; 3. From the West Coast to the Telegraph Line. A scarce copy.
