Australian artist and filmmaker Gary Shead won the Archibald Prize in 1992/93 with a portrait of Tom Thompson, and won the Dobell Prize in 2004 with Colloquy with John Keats. American born Lyn Hard described the poems in Australia Suite, ” as deposits to an account I have with Australia that, to my everlasting good fortune, is always overdrawn.” When the first limited edition of 100 copies was first published, a further 200 blocks of sewn pages were produced for a later paper edition. They were however lost and only re-surfaced in 2009. Freshly bound by Sabine Peirard the “new” paper edition of Australia Suite was launched in 2010.
